My Christmas... My Christmas Gift... And Stupid Cupid! :D

Hello Lovely People,

I hope you are all well.

Our First Xmas - Strolling through Christmasy London

I am so sorry I didn't write to you for so long. I was closed up in my problems, felt like not myself for a while... And then funny thing happened, just when I was about to give up and started feeling sorry for myself... I've met someone.

I guess it's true what they say, that sth special comes along when you don't look for it. Feeling happy, full of joy and hope again lifted my spirits up. I was never big on Christmas, always thought that is too commercial. But this year I could not celebrate it, after all this new person in my life is a Christmas gift! So, it happened I made Christmas this year, good food, good wine, candles, Christmas music and us... It was the best Christmas yet!

Even that I still try to solve all of my problems I am feeling happy and have some strange believe that I can make it, that from now long everything is going to be just great! It was on Stupid Cupid out there somewhere... ahaha... but yes, I think I couldn't be more happier right now... :D

Our First Xmas - Xmas table, romantic style :D

So even that Christmas is over now and we all are waiting for the New Year I am still kind a in that mood and I have just seen coolest Christmas lights yet! Just check it out:

And this Christmas display is to 'Let It Go' song... :)

Ok... now few words about my dancing cuz after all this blog is about dance, love for the sport and for the art of dance itself...

I am not dancing that much right now, my practises are shorter as my dance partner went to to visit her family for Christmas. We are going to be back on truck from the 4th of January next year. Till then we are practising separately.

As you already know, from time to time I like to say 'See you soon' by a dance video. Video I made or found on the web, video I simply like, video which reminds me of sth or giving an inspiration... Today I am going to post 2 videos, both to 'Let It Go' song which is so Christmas and winter like but so joyful in the same time :)

So get ready for a light dance and contemporary routine from 'Dancing With The Stars' TV show:

I hope you all have had a great Christms with your friends and families...

I will see you soon.

Keep Calm & DANCE!

Adrian :)

Today's Thoughts and Latin Dancing :D

Hello Guys,

Hmmm.... I don't really have much to say about dancing today. I am very busy for the past some time, have loads on my mind and try to go visit Poland as soon as possible. So, honestly I am somewhere else entirely.

My mind is surrounded by my personal problems... I was thinking, am I a bad guy? I know I am straight forward kind of guy maybe even too straight forward, I am also impatient, critical and demanding. But still does it make me bad? Don't I have any good qualities... Everyone does, so I do have some! I am not bad... I honestly have to stop think that... It is not helping! :D

I am writing this stuff as I put myslef in a difficult situation, socially and personally. I thought I have met someone GREAT, but then realized that even if someone is great doesn't necessary gotta be my kind of great. That this is not really my type of a relation, type of a relation I am looking for.

Long story short, before I realized it, it was too late. Now I am stucked and living this nightmare I made for myself. I know I gotta be strong, wait it till passes and then carry on with my life, but still today it is not a happy day!

Ahhhh....to lift my spirit I am going to repeat an incredible Marilyn Monroe:

I just love this women!

Days like this I like to spend on dancing. Dance and music always make everything better!

So, let's watch some amazing dancers together, let's smile... forget everything even if only for 5 mins :)

Riccardo & Yulia performing Jive:

Stefano Di Fillipo & Dasha dancing Samba:

Michal Malitowski & Joanna Leunis playing with Cha Cha:

Ok, I am going sleep... Thanks guys for 'listening' ahahah... honestly writing to you works better then any therapy I ever heard about! :D

See you soon!

Keep Calm & DANCE!

#PartnerWithBeata - Fight a cancer...

Good Evening Everyone,

It is 11:25pm here in London and I have another important message to send across.

While back I was writing about Beata Onefater, professional Latin dancer who has retaired from competitive dancing in 2004.

I will paste here informations I have once written about Beata on my 'Name & Face' page:

Beata was born in Lithuania, started her dance career at the age of 6. She became the Lithuanian and former Soviet Union youth latin, ballroom, and folk dancing champion. She moved to the U.S. at the age of sixteen. At that time she began her ten year partnership with Michael Wentink.

In 1998, Beata and Michael became World Amateur Latin Champions and won British Open (Blackpool), UK Championships, International Championships, US Open, German Open, Swiss Open and all other amateur competitions. They remained undefeated as amateurs, as well as, undefeated South African Latin Amateur and Professional Champions for 10 years. In 1999, they turned professional and were finalists of every major international competition. In 2004, they moved to New York and were representing the United States. At the end of 2004, Beata retired from competitive dancing. From the end of 2007 to 2009, Beata performed a showdance program worldwide.

Presently, Beata is coaching and lecturing and adjudicating competitions in all parts of the world.

As you can see for yourselves, Beata Onefater is a huge part of dance sport history and that's why my message and story I am writting today is so important to all of us dancers but also for everyone who knows Beata or is just passionate about the sport.

Beata was diagnosed with late stage overian cancer in the mid-November. This's trully shocking news to all of us, but there is one incredible thing in all that impossible situation! Dancers from around the world have joined there forces to help Beata fight this awfull disease. Initiative called 'Partner with Beata' is to help collect enough money to give her fair chances of fighting it!

Few facts from 'Partner with Beata':

Beata was diagnosed with late stage ovarian cancer in mid-November. Unlike you and me, the cancer doesn’t care about her spirit, her contribution to dancing, or her beauty. It doesn’t care about her family, her husband, or their friends. It doesn’t care, but we hope all of the people who have been touched by Beata do care because she needs your help.

Ballroom Dancing teaches you a lot. One of its greatest lessons is the importance of partnership. Your partner is there to support you, to bring out the best in you, to make you better than you could ever be on your own. If you are falling, your partner catches you. If you are tired, your partner helps you through. Your partner is your foundation. Fighting cancer is similar: it beats you up, it wears you out, it tears you down and your support system is what is there to make sure you don’t fall down.

This adversary is going to be tough to beat. It will test her resolve more than anything she has faced before. Beata is a champion who can face any challenge, but she can’t do it alone. The reality is, treating cancer is expensive and ballroom dancers still do not have access to the type of medical insurance needed to make such a battle financially possible.

You can make donations to Beata's Cancer Fund by going to the link below:

Finishing this post I would like to show you my friends how incredible dancer and beautiful soul Beata trully is:

Thank you guys for reading. If you feel that you can help please, do so! #PartnerWithBeata

Share your love one to another cuz as one Polish saying states:

'Let's hurry to love people now as they leave us so fast'

See you soon guys!

Paulo Coelho about love...

Hi Everyone,

How is your evening guys?

I am not practising my dancing for the past 2 days cuz of a knee injury so, my evening is very quiet.
In the same time I am feeling like a drug addict who can't get his drug, being not able to dance is awful. This reminds me a quote from one of the books written by Paulo Coelho - 'By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept':

"Love is like a narcotic. At first it brings the euphoria of complete surrender. The next day, you want more. You're not addict yet, but you like the sensation, and you think you can still control things. You think about the person you love for two minutes, and forget them for three hours. But then you get used to the person, and you bebin to be completely dependent on them. Now you think about him for three hours and forget him for two minutes. If he's not there, you feel like an addict who can't get a fix. And just as addicts steal and humiliate themselves to get what they need, you're willing to do anything for love."

In my opinion, even that he writes there about love, being not able to do what you feel so passionate about is absolutely comparable. Love is a drug but so, is your passion... Or maybe passion is your life?

That's why I very much like what Riccardo Cocchi & Yulia Zagoruychenko have said in one of their short movies, you can check it out under the link below:

https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152378681691459&pnref=story

Yes, it is not only a a strive for perfection but your life... everything you do and the way you do it is done cuz of your passion for dance.

And the good thing is that I am on the dance floor tomorrow, I am having a private class with my coach so can't really miss it :)

Then, on Friday I am going to perform Rumba with my new dance partner... Extremely exiting but also stressful. We dance together for little over a month and we have never performed together. So, if someone up there would like to wish me some luck, I take it!

And... If I will have any recordings from this Rumba presentation and there will be anything worth to show you guys I will definitely post it in here.

Now, let's have some YouTube talk. I don't know, if you are checking You Tube to see what is in there, funny stuff or creepy... I like to doing it from time to time and last time I came a cross some crazy stuff.

That's why let's have some fun now:

And at last... Travis Wall...!...

Ahahah...

Don't be confused Travis is a great American dancer and dance instructor specializing in contemporary and jazz. He is well known for his appearance as a competitor on the second season of 'So You Think You Can Dance' in 2006. As of 2012, he is a choreographer for the show and in 2011 he was nominated for Emmy for his work on the show's seventh season.

And that would be all for tonight... See you next time!

Keep Calm & DANCE!

SHARE YOUR LOVE - Weelchair Dance Sport European Championships, Poland 2014!

Hi Everyone,

Tonight I would like to write about sth very important.

I have to say that I am feeling really proud of being Polish and also a dancer!

This year Poland were a host for IPC Weelchair Dance Sport European Championships 2014 in Lomianki. Competitions took place at Integracyjne Centrum Sportowo Dydaktyczne (ICDS) on 8th and 9th of November 2014. There were 150 dancers performing from over 20 countries from around Europe!

That was official poster of the event:

And I am going to post some pictures of this great event in here but also you can find full photo relation on the official IPC's Facebook page:

IPC Weelchair Dance Sport European Championships, Poland 2014 - Photo:

I was really pleased to see that this dance event was wildly shown in TV in many countries around Europe. Here you can see short relation for Ukrainian TV:

And the last video I am going to share is from Facebook, just open the link below and enjoy:

Finishing this post I just would like to say that it's amazing how people can unite with no limitation - no age, race, disability or look makes a difference. It's only now and here, joy of life, friendships, love... And this few hours when you are performing and where you are no longer disabled, different or simply from a diffrent culture. At that time we are all the same, friends... Just humans who happened to love sth, share same passion and enjoy life as it is!

#FREEDOM #LOVE # JOY #DANCE #HAPPINESS

That's all for tonight guys! Share the love... Love for dance but what is most important, love for each other.

Keep Calm & DANCE!

See you soon,

Adrian

Dance vs Emotions - Kyle Hanagami & Viet Dang

Hello Lovely People,

Is there anyone who enjoys using public transport? Transport of London is particulary bad and there is always sth wrong with that bloody tube :/

Anyway, I had my weekly private class with my coach today and it only took me over 1,5 hour to get to the studio. In the normal circumstances I would've been all over the place, screaming inside, getting mad - where do I know that from, yes? :) ahahah.... However, this time I took my time to explore YouTube and I have made most amazing discovery: Kyle Hanagami!

This young dancer is from Los Angeles, USA and he is making the most amazing dance videos I have seen on YouTube so far.

There is no simple explanation on why I am so amazed about his work... Maybe is the fact that the first video I found of him was to one song I listen for weeks now? Yes, Christina Perri and 'A Thousand Years' is definitely a factor here. But I am also fascinated by his way of seeing and understanding the enviroment around him, people and their reletaions and also the way he feels about it.

If you like to follow Kyle's work you can join him on his offcial Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kyle-Hanagami/270064642487?sk=timeline

Or on YouTube:

https://www.youtube.com/user/kylehanagami

I guess there is no point for me to talk about it any more is much simpler to share his work with you guys and give you an opportunity to make up your own mind about Kyle.

Ok, so first video I am going to share in here is to 'A Thousand Years' song, of course. Hands up, read the Kyle's comment below the video.

And here are couple of different videos I like,

Share your thoughts, if you like it...

I think he is pretty awesome! :D

Hmmm... in London is 2:47am. But talking about Kyle reminded me of Viet Dang really cool dancer who lives in USA and teaches Lirycal Hip Hop at IDA Hollywood. I had great pleasure meeting him in Buenos Aires where he was trying to teach me how to hip hop.... Me dancing Lyrical Hip Hop wasn't impressive lol :P

You can follow his YouTube chanel here:

https://www.youtube.com/user/dancingviet

So I guess this is a perfect moment to share some of Viet's work with you my friends:

Ok guys I am going to bed. Sleep well and see you soon.

Keep Calm & DANCE!

World Ballroom Champions - Arunas Bizokas & Katusha Demidova

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well.

After publishing my last post last night I see that it is a bit funny, it's not like rest of my post. So, I have decided to write this post again and hopefully this time it will visiually match the rest of my posts.

Last night on my way back from class I was thinking about you guys and shared amazing story of Arunas Bizokas & Katusha Demidova. Those great Ballroom dancers are from USA and just retained their title for the 6th time and remain undefeated World Champions. This great news came from Blackpool, UK where on the 23rd of November Arunas and Katusha won 2014 WDC Open World Ballroom Championships!

They were just GREAT!

Unfortunately, I can't find any videos from this event :( But would like to show you the perfection in Slow Waltz from 2013 WSSDF:

Going back to the business, the first 10 couples of the World Ballroom Championships 2014 were:

1. Arunas Bizokas & Katusha Demidova (USA)
2. Andrea Ghigiarelli & Sara Andracchio (Great Britain)
3. Domen Krapez & Monica Nigro (Slovenia)
4. Alexander Zhiratkov & Irina Novozhilova (Russia)

7. Wiktor Kiszka & Genny Favero (Italy)
9. Marat Gimaev & Alina Basyuk (USA)
9. Angelo Madonia & Maria Mitrokhina (Great Britain)

And full results of the event you can see under the link below:

Very soon I will start uploading my dance videos in here - I hope - as my dance routines are half way done. I am really looking forward to January 2015, where I will start competing and representing UK in WDC!

I can honestly say there is no better drug than dance! :D

Once you are on the dance floor you are not yourself, you are someone else, someone who was created in that moment by your imagination... You are saying a story. You are showing your feelings. But are those really yours...? You never know, it's just that feeling, emotion you feel in that second... You feel FREE! :D

Ohhh... this made me day dreaming ahahahah :)

Let's enjoy one story together. Story created by Riccardo Cocchi & Yulia Zagoruychenko:

See you soon lovely people...

Keep Calm & DANCE!

'Blue Journey' duo & Open World Championships 2014 in Disneyland, Paris.

Hi Guys,

I hope you are all well.

My watch is showing 12:45pm so, I will try to make it short :)

I have discovered 'Blue Journey' dance group from US's edition of 'Got Talent'.

Rachel (18) and Nick (33), were trained by David Middendorp. They are both contemporary/classic dancers making their shows with use of animation. The duo met formally only four days before their audition after they were introduced to each other by a mutual dancer friend.

The story line of their shows is about the journey of a girl that struggles with herself and the world around her. She is the only person in the world with a blue shadow and has the to deal with the conflicts that brings. The video projections shape her world.

I really enjoy their work and the theatrical / poetic nature of performances and that's why I am going to share some videos from their time in 'Got Talent' in here.

More videos from this incredible duo you can find on YouTube! :)

Ok, and now sth for those of you who love a good fairy tale... from 5th to 7th of December 2014 Disneyland in Paris will host WDC AL Open World Championships in Latin, Ballroom, Argentin Tango, Belly Dance, American Rhythm, Streetdance and Salsa!

Official poster:

This massive dance event will take place in Hotel New York in Disneyland, Paris:

Full program of the event you can find under the link below:

Open World Championships are going to be crazy and I am deeply jealous of everyone who will be there! Of course I will keep updating my blog with the freshest news from Paris :)

And for me that would be a bed time. After practicing every day and gettingmy new routines in the right place I feel exhausted... Happy!!! But exhausted :D

See you soon!

Sunday evening with 'How to get away with murder' and 'Duo Flame' :D

How is your Sunday evening guys?

I have decided to spend my day on relaxation... Great time, just me, small glass of wine and 'How to get away with murder'.

Watching those 5 episodes left me extremely messed up lol :)
But seriously young perfect teen girl dies, her bf could've done that.... But then she was actually dealing drugs and sleeping with a merried men.... Well that's not all, dead girl was dealing drugs cuz of some disturbed girl who works in some bar, then girl is accused of murdering her alongside with that girls bf and then, then lawyer comes to rescue but it happens that the lawyer's husband was that cheater who slept with the dead girl and actually now he is dead himself... But we don't know why yet :)

Great brain washer! :D if you are looking for the ways to kill time 'How to get away with murder' is your answer! :D

So, after watching this I started to search internet for sth interesting and entertaining what could concluded my Sunday evening... And that's how I came across of 'Duo Flame'!!!

Remarkable Ukrainian artists who specialise in acrobatics!

They are both from Kiev in Ukraine. Aiusha Khadzh Khamed  was born on September 6th ,1992  in Kiev, Ukraine. Her artistic gymnastics started in the age of 4.  At age of 13 she went to live in Spain where she was developing her skills and won the Gold of Spain, reached the title of Master of Sports and took part in many prestigious championships. At age of 18 she went back to Ukraine to go to National Olympic University.

Vladyslav  Ivashkin was born in Kiev, Ukraine on the 18th of July, 1988. His father is a professional wrestler, and his mother a professional gymnast. At the age of 7, Vladyslav was given to the gymnastic gym to a coach who previously coached his mother where he learned all basic and principle skills of acrobatics techniques. At the age of 9 he took part at the first competition. After which he started train with a head coach of Ukraine. At the age of 13 he won the National Gold of Ukraine, and at the age of 14 took part at the first World Championship of Sport Acrobatics, on which he won a silver medal. Next 5 years he represented Ukraine in many international championships.  At 18 he focused on Circus Performances and decided to try himself in arts.
Aiusha and Vladyslav are married and together were performing in countries all over the world - Japan, China, Germany, France, Australia and many more. They were also performing with huge Belgian singer, Lara Fabian. In 2013 they took part in Ukrainian edition of 'Got Talent' where they were finalists.
For you who didn't see them performed I am going to share in here videos from their time in 'Got Talent'.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

I am amazed by their tenhique, routines, choice of music and the most of all the emotionality of each performance! Great artists and I wish them all the best in their career! :)

And with this great treat for eye and soul I am saying Goodnight :)

I will see you soon!

Keep calm and DANCE! :D

Adrian :)
